Welcome!

Today, we’re focusing on Journaling for Abundance.

First, grab your Mini Abundance Journal, HERE, to get started. It’s free.

So, what is an Abundance Journal and what’s it for?

It’s basically just a series of journal prompts you write about, focusing on what you want more of.

You write about bringing more of what you want, into your life.

Very similar to a gratitude journal, an Abundance Journal can help you to track gratitude and what you are thankful for. It helps you get clear on what you want, stirring up feelings of gratitude, which in turn, will help you cultivate an attitude of gratitude — therefore, helping you bring prosperity into your life.

Before we get started, here’s a quick background on me.

Next, let’s talk more about how using your Abundance Journal can help you get results when it comes to goal setting.

How to Use Your Abundance Journal

You can first start off by choosing one journal prompt to write about each morning.

The Mini Abundance Journal has three specific journal prompts.

For example, try this journal prompt:

“What is your earliest memory of abundance, and how did it make you feel?”

Write at least four sentences about that. Take your time, and really reflect on what you’re putting down on paper.

When I’m finished, I like to wrap up my journaling with a simple gratitude list: Journal about three things you’re grateful for today.

It could be anything.

From something small, as “thankful for a nap,” to large, “thankful I have a loving family.”

Now, as you go through your day, notice how you will recall what you wrote about. You might even remember these positive focus centers, things you wrote about, when something does not go your way — and immediately you can override the ‘negative’ thing that happened, simply by remembering the wonderful things you are thankful for!

By recording and journaling about abundance and gratitude, we can remember to hold onto the feeling, then we create more good things from that feeling.

For example, let’s say you wrote in your gratitude journal one morning.

You go about your day, and someone really says something to you that presses your buttons.

Let’s just say, they said something like, “you look tired,” when you’ve already had a chaotic morning. Let’s just say for some reason, them saying how run down you look just really sets you off.

Well, despite the odd remark, you might just for a split second remember what you wrote in your gratitude/abundance journal that day — and you can remind yourself to re-focus your energy on the good thing, instead of the rude comment someone said. That’s just a small example of how you can leverage journaling to your own advantage. Why not?

6 Tips for Staying Consistent with your Abundance Journal

  • Keep it in the same place all the time, perhaps your nightstand. You’ll always know where it is!

  • Decide on a certain time of day that you will commit to journaling, and stick with it.

  • Choose a number. For example, if the number is ‘3’ then choose 3 journal prompts to write about, or write down 3 ways you are thankful, 3 things you have gratitude for, 3 goals you want to accomplish…you get the idea! Kind of like a bullet journal. Nothing wrong with making lists when you’re journaling!

  • Write down any goals you were able to achieve through journaling. Tracking good results will reinforce good behavior!

  • Make your journaling area, i.e. your bedroom, living room, etc., as comfortable as possible. A warm and inviting place will be ideal for writing and reflecting.

  • Have fun and tell your friends to journal, too!
