Welcome

Hey friend! Today we’re talking specifically about why you should consider making and selling your own journals.

Journaling is an extremely powerful practice, and can truly change people’s lives.

Journaling can be a game changer when it comes to maintaining mental health.

There is something about writing and getting your thoughts out that is very therapeutic.

Sometimes, it can be hard at first to start.

It can be debilitating to sit there and not know what to write. Also, it’s pretty normal to feel weird when you start writing. That’s why I started creating journaling books and guides, to help people through this process.

It is totally normal to resist journaling. It can be scary to see your thoughts on paper. But try it once and tell yourself you can throw away the paper as soon as you want to. Just give it a try.

I started journaling a lot when my younger brother died of an overdose in 2016 at the young age of 28. I also sought counseling and life coaching, but journaling has been key for me, as well.

I’m Holly Ecimovic, I create books and journals for health and emotional wellness, and for those who love personal development + fitness. (Grab my Fitness Manifestation Journal, here!)

I also design journals. Download all my freebies for your coaching clients, or treat yourself, over here in my Free Stuff Vault [ACCESS NOW.]

So, what are 5 good reasons why you should create and sell your own journals?

In a nutshell, here are 5 initial reasons why you should consider selling journals online (you can also sell physical copies, but we can talk about that later.)

  1. You can generate an extra income stream

  2. Help others by putting your journals into the world

  3. Selling the journals has never been easier

  4. A way to express yourself, and get paid doing it.

  • Generating an extra income stream

Who doesn’t want extra income, right?

By creating and selling your own journals, you will have another avenue by which to earn money.

The best part about this is, you are your own boss.

You do not have to answer to anyone about when you work or how many books you are publishing, it is all up to you. You can also price things any way you please, and you set it up using whichever form of payment you prefer.

I will discuss all those details later, but the point here is that creating and selling your own journals is a great way to earn extra income, because so many people are cruising the internet these days looking for inspiration and motivation.

With everything going on in today’s world, we need you to publish those journals, friend! By earning money from your creations, you add more freedom into your life.

Plus, you will be super proud of yourself when that first sale is made!

  • Helping others by putting your journals into the world

Do you have a story? What is it?

Creating and selling your own journals will allow you to tell that story, in an organized and meaningful way that will help the world. You all may know my story already:  I create and sell unique, heart-centered journals to help you cope with grief and loss. Tragically losing my younger brother when he was only 28 years old changed my life drastically, so I've made my life mission to bring goodness out of the pain, to provide the world with journals that have true purpose. By creating journal prompts, worksheets, unique designs and more, you are truly making a unique impact on people who share similar experiences with you, and also with those who could use the inspiration you are providing to them.

  • Selling the journals has never been easier

You can sell the gorgeous journals that you create in a variety of ways these days. You literally do not even need a website!

You can use tons of platforms to sell your journals. I will name a few right here for you: Teachable; ConvertKit; Email Marketing; Social Media Platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram; Pinterest; SEO; leveraging your own website; Word of Mouth; Holding In-Person Events; Zoom Meetings; SamCart; and so many more! If you would like to begin selling your journals through ConvertKit, use my link, HERE. I guarantee you will love how easy it is to sell your beautiful journals!

  • Create and sell your own journals to express your creativity

Do you ever feel like you need a creative outlet, but you’re not sure how to go about it?

When I was growing up, I wanted to be like Harriet the Spy. My friend and I would hunt around the neighborhood, and we would write down everything we saw, like Harriet the Spy (or what we thought Harriet would do.) We had special notebooks. We had little magnifying glasses. We even had special hats and clothes we wore when we were pretending to be spies. We wrote down notes in a “Journal” or diary, like Harriet. Can you think back to when your imagination worked like that? Guess what - creating and selling your own journals has the ability to get you back into that child-like imagination-state. You can dream up whatever you want, put it into a journal, release it to the world. You can access your creativity again, and you can serve it up to the world, and you can make a profit!

  • Do it because it’s fun

Do you ever give up on going through with your goals because it’s boring, or it’s sucking the life out of you?

Do you just stop doing things because it isn’t fun anymore?

Creating and selling your own journals is fun - and there is nothing like the satisfaction of making your first sale.

If there is one thing you can take away from today’s article, it’s that creating and selling your own journals is a way you can make money doing something that intrigues you. I know if you’re anything like me, it will be one of your greatest accomplishments.

When I created and sold The Service Journal, which is a journal I wrote in dedication to my brother who passed away, I was overcome with joy at how many people loved the journal, said it touched them, and let me know how it changed their lives. It also thrilled me that many told me they appreciated the beautiful tribute to my younger brother. So, in short, don’t underestimate how fun and rewarding creating and selling your own journals can be. You just may surprise yourself! I know I did.

Conclusion:

This is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to creating and selling your own journals. Remember, everything you want is on the other side of your fears, and frankly, all your dreams are alive when you take action to bring them to life.
