SOCIAL MEDIA IMAGE SIZES, PLUS THE BASICS ON USING CANVA TO EDIT PHOTOS

After fooling around relentlessly with image sizes, I decided to create a quick and easy cheat sheet that lists image sizes for several different social media platforms.

(Scroll down for the guide!)

If you use Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, this is for you.

The chart lists the image sizes for different spots on the platforms, so you can quickly put them into Canva, or into Photoshop or whichever program you use to edit photos. Or, you can just know how to crop your specific images you want to directly upload on to your social media pages.

I will take a moment to discuss Canva, which is a popular tool among bloggers.

WHAT IS CANVA?

Canva is a graphic design platform that lets users create graphics, templates, PDF files, worksheets, and so much more. I am not an affiliate for Canva, however, I have loved using it for years now.

Canva is available for desktop and mobile, and it offers a TON of images, fonts, templates and illustrations.

You can even edit your photos using preset filters. Find all the details on what Canva offers, HERE.

HOW MUCH IS CANVA?

Canva has different levels of service. Check out the pricing guide, HERE.

Level 1: FREE

You can use Canva for free, if you would prefer. This option is ideal for people who are working on quick projects, or are working in small groups, according to the Canva website. You get more than 8,000 free templates, more than 100 design types, and hundreds of thousands of free photos and graphics. I will say this free option is not my favorite because there are not as many templates offered, so next I will go over what exactly that means.

Level 2: PRO

The next step up is the Pro level. This costs $9.95 per month if it is billed yearly, or $12.95 per month if you go month-by-month. According to Canva, this option is ideal for individuals and small teams who need more customization and productivity at their fingertips. I prefer to use this level of service in Canva.

With Pro, you get: everything you get in the free option, plus, you will be able to create your brand’s visual identity with logos, colors and fonts in 1 Brand Kit; you will have access to more than 60,000 FREE templates; you also get access to more than 4 million free photos and graphics; custom templates; you can also upload your OWN fonts and logos; and more. This option is what I have been using the past year. Read more about it, HERE.

Level 3: ENTERPRISE

The Canva Enterprise option is the highest level of service you can access from Canva.

This option costs $30 per month and it is billed yearly.

According to Canva, this option is best for larger teams who need advanced brand and collaboration control.

The features of the Enterprise option reflect the following: You get everything you normally would with the Pro option, as well as access to multiple brand kits instead of just one; you can control what members of your team can see, access and upload; built-in workflows; UNLIMITED storage (this is awesome); 24-7 Enterprise-level support; and so much more.

This option is for people who are working with teams, mostly, because of the control features mentioned earlier, I believe. For more information on this Enterprise level option, click HERE.
